What are three things all Christians should be doing?
Three points. Short and to the point.
- Read and study your Bible daily.
No excuses!
You have easy access to truth. (printed or electronic)
You need to know the truth.
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 NLT)
- Practice Biblical principles.
2 … you and your children and grandchildren must fear the Lord your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life. 3 Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. Then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.
4 “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. 5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. (Love God with every fiber of your being) 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. (Deuteronomy 6:2-6 NLT)
Commit to know and practice the Scripture
- Share Biblical principles with your children (and with others).
Repeat them (Biblical principles) again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. (Deuteronomy 6:7 NLT)
…. we will tell the next generation
about the glorious deeds of the Lord,
about his power and his mighty wonders. ….
So each generation should set its hope anew on God… (Psalm 78:4 & 7 NLT)
Repeatedly share Biblical principles with your children (and with others).

But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.” (Joshua 22:5 NLT)
