Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
How much would your life change if you began practicing all of the Biblical truths you already know? (Example: A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1)
So glad to see you are continuing the work!
Congrats on new ministry. Praying for you. Like the goal and “shoot for” analogy too.
Wow, you know I was just thinking about that the other. I had been contemplating certain practices I’ve been doing and thinking if God is “okay” with these things. I’ve come to the conclusion I am going to stop them. They are not right and are only hurting me and my spiritual relationship with God.
The truly amazing thing about it is how about 7 months ago I really came in contact with God. My relationship with Him really kicked off and I noticed a huge difference in how I lived, felt, and even treated folks! I continued to grow the relationship but somehow realized it wasn’t reaching its full potential, that’s when I realized it was because of the things I had continued to do in parallel with growing the relationship. If still got a bunch of things that I really need to improve on, but at least it is in progress. Many young folks my age haven’t yet realized the need to start a good healthy relationship with God now, most saying I’ll worry about that when I’m older. I know because I used to be that fella. Truth be told, the potential that was opened and unleashed when I opened myself up to God was far greater than anything earthly thing that could be offered to me.
